Nearly 1 In 4 Americans Favor Secession

FROM Personal Liberty

(MCT) — Nearly 1 out of 4 Americans is so fed up with Washington that they are prepared to not take it anymore and would favor their state breaking away from the rest of the United States.

According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Friday, 23.9 percent of Americans polled from Aug. 23 through Sept. 16 said they strongly supported or tended to support the idea of their state breaking away from the country. About 53 percent of the 8,952 respondents strongly opposed or tended to oppose secession, slightly less than the percentage that kept Scotland in the United Kingdom.

Support for secession cuts across many lines, the poll found, but the West and Southwest, where the vision of rugged individualism still draws praise, seemed more inclined to back separation than the staid New England area. Younger and poorer folks were more likely to want to run for the exit.

Politically, conservatives and Republicans seem to like the idea of leaving more than Democrats. Among people who said they identified with the tea party, supporters of secession were actually in the majority, with 53 percent.

Before you start thinking about flipping around the nation’s motto from E pluribus unum to E unum pluribus, consider that the United States has long been a country having to cope with sectional, emotional, economic, racial and gender splits.

Hostilities between the North and South grated even as everyone was fighting the British, culminated in the Civil War and, some would argue, continue to simmer. The expansion westward meant expanding the range of disputes between a frontier and the folks back on the East Coast.

The exact wording of the question was, “Do you support or oppose the idea of your state peacefully withdrawing from the United States of America and the federal government?”

The poll has a margin of error of 1.2 percentage points.

An article regarding New Hampshire Secession is here.

[Editor's Note: Texas and twenty other states have peacefully petitioned the federal government for secession from the United States. Several reasons have prompted these States to petition the government including without limitation unfunded mandates required to enforce ridiculous federal government statutes and holding States hostage for funds to repair roads and bridges or school funds.

The feds oppress local schools with curriculum designed to assure the future ignorance of students thereby minimizing future resistance. The beneficiary of federal government interference in State affairs are teacher's unions, school boards, and government itself (not students and parents), since government's control is reinforced by both funding and "ignorance curriculum". School taxes should be eliminated and replaced with User Fees, i.e. if a student attends public school (or private school), then the student (parents) should pay tuition. Since tuition funds schools in this scenario and not government, then why continue the distinction between public and private schools. Schools could become part of regional conglomerates within a state or even across state borders. Only parents confirm that their children attend school and learn the basics necessary to function in the future as a self-sufficient adult. Decisions regarding vocational or academic learning are determined by aptitude. School Boards and most government bureaucrats associated with the top-heavy school districts would disappear along with the formerly unnecessary cost.

Property taxes should be eliminated. If a given citizen "uses" local government services (previously funded by tax), then the citizen should pay a service fee. Obviously, many government jobs, no longer necessary, would be eliminated since the lack of consumer (user) demand for many former government "services" would identify the many bogus layers of unneeded ("make-work" jobs) bureaucracy. Government employee unions would suffer a long needed death.

Highways and roads should be owned and maintained by private enterprise companies, one per state (to simplify). Road ownership would be transferred by auction to private companies who bid for ownership. State citizens and residents register their vehicles for road use and the road company bills the user. The user deposits a prepaid annual fee, an amount based on user's estimated annual road use in their road use account. All vehicles driving on any roads would have RFIDs to verify fee payment. As a vehicle passes an "electronic road monitor" (owned by the private road company), the RFID's authenticity is checked in a database of international RFIDs and the use fee is deducted from the prepaid annual balance. Alerts to private road enforcers will issue for inauthentic or outdated RFIDs. Unverified or unpaid RFIDs result in stopped vehicles (by private road use enforcers) until vehicle owner can upgrade the RFID.

The feds oppress State economies with the EPA which continually destroys economies by regulating to protect supposedly endangered species to later discover (only after further conclusive research) a natural cause of the endangerment.

Raids of citizens' homes and businesses by the DEA, BATF, or IRS ending in confiscation and/or destruction of private property without a justifiable warrant. These citizens must prove their innocence before recovering only a percentage of any confiscated property and destroyed property is never replaced or reimbursed.

Generally, with almost innumerable examples of Constitutional violation and encroachment, the CONgress passes legislation which is unConstitional on its face but if there are no parties directly injured by the obviously unConstitutional statute, the law stays on the books and the Executive may promulgate regulations to enforce the unConstitutional law.]

How To Avoid The Obamacare Death Trap

January 28, 2013 by Bob Livingston

We are less than one year out from healthcare tyranny under the oligarchy-endorsed Obamacare.

It’s very deceptive to call Obamacare socialized medicine. The law has nothing to do with healthcare. It’s just the opposite. It’s sickness care. The Nazis had their gas chambers and America has “medical care,” which is the most sophisticated killing machine that demented minds can create.

Americans are mentally dependent on the “medical” brainwash. When our dumbed-down people hear the trigger word “medical care,” they go blind and hyperventilate. They do not know a scam from a sham. They will go unanimous for anything with the term “healthcare” in it.

Obamacare is not healthcare. It has absolutely nothing to do with healthcare. It’s a great transfer of wealth and population control with a ticket to the death panels when we are no longer considered productive citizens.

As the paper money regime collapses, the money creators are speeding up the printing presses in a desperate ploy to transfer the wealth of the American people before it becomes worthless anyway. It is disguised warfare against the American people.

It reminds one of the last days of the Nazi regime. As the cities were reduced to rubble, German citizens were being shot for “treason.” In the last days of any regime, the process of oppression of citizens is intensified.

10/23/14 FROM The Hill

A federal judge on Thursday ordered the IRS to detail under oath how some of former agency official Lois Lerner’s emails went missing, as well as any potential methods for recovering them.

Judge Emmet Sullivan of the U.S. District Court in Washington gave the Internal Revenue Service exactly a month — until Aug. 10 — to file a report, which he demanded as part of a lawsuit from a conservative watchdog, Judicial Watch, against the agency.

Judicial Watch is seeking a wide range of documents from the IRS, including Lerner’s emails, as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. It has complained that the IRS didn’t tell it that the agency couldn’t recover all of Lerner’s emails from 2009 to 2011.

Sullivan cast his ruling as a compromise, and a potential way for Judicial Watch to get answers without the court wading any deeper into the matter. Judicial Watch had asked the court to potentially compel IRS officials to testify about the lost emails, through a process called limited discovery.

"One man decides how much money to conjure out of thin air, how much inflation to create, how artificially low he wants to keep interest rates to screw people who save in favor of people who spend recklessly.

One man decides which countries to bomb, which countries to invade, which countries to bail out.

One man decides that children should be fondled at airports and bathed in radiation.

A small group of men decide how much money to confiscate from their citizens, how much to blow on mind-numbingly stupid spending intiatives, and how much to indebt future generations.

It's a remarkable fraud... and only a few people get it."

FROM An Unhappy Summer for Liberty

At the root of the chaos in the Middle East and here at home are governments that respect no limits on their exercise of power. Public officials — who are supposed to be our public servants — routinely behave as if they are our masters. They reject the confines of the Constitution, they don’t believe that our rights are inalienable, and they fail to see the dangerous path down which they are leading us.

It is a path to an authoritarian America, predicted by the British writer George Orwell in his dark and terrifying novel “1984,” in which governmental power was fortified by fear at home and war abroad.

FROM Project to RESTORE AMERICA

The FairTax is a consumption tax unilaterally applied to all Americans at the same rate. For businesses, payroll taxes would no longer exist. Our exports would include a heavy tax for overseas buyers purchasing our products, while our imports would be cheaper for us to purchase. I'm not sure how this would affect GDP, as more information is necessary.

According to the FairTax website, "Under the FairTax, every person living in the United States pays a sales tax on purchases of new goods and services, excluding necessities due to the prebate." The prebate gives every legal resident household an "advance refund" at the beginning of each month so that purchases made up to the poverty level are tax-free.

So a family of four making something like $50,000/year should not have to pay taxes, thus preventing an unfair burden on low-income families. Since the FairTax eliminates both federal and payroll taxes, you get to keep your gross pay amount of each paycheck earned.
