Do politicians represent people? Do people need leaders? There are different "brands" of politicians which mostly reflects a given politician's personality. But most politicians can be grouped into one category either before they are elected or after. Most politicians want fame, power, and wealth. They want to idolized and historically remembered (favorably and positively). But a politician's use of power usually seriously restricts (and has restricted) our freedom. History shows that politicians are not concerned with the freedom of those they "represent" even if a country such as ours is based on the freedom for which the founders fought.
